About the role
The Warehouse Shifting Coordinator will play a critical role in overseeing the efficient movement of inventory, equipment, and materials within and between warehouses. This role will involve planning, coordinating, and executing warehouse shifting activities to optimize space utilization, streamline operations, and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the company’s international operations and uphold the highest standards of warehouse management.
Your responsibilities
Plan and coordinate warehouse shifting activities, including the relocation of inventory, equipment, and materials within warehouses and between different warehouse locations.
Collaborate with inventory control teams to ensure accurate inventory counts before and after warehouse shifts, minimizing discrepancies and inventory losses.
Develop and implement efficient layout and storage configurations within warehouses to maximize space utilization and improve workflow efficiency.
Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule transportation and logistics support for warehouse shifting activities, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods.
Oversee the loading and unloading of inventory and materials during warehouse shifts, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Monitor and track the progress of warehouse shifting projects, identifying potential bottlenecks or issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
Train and supervise warehouse staff involved in shifting activities, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, supply chain, and quality control, to coordinate warehouse shifting activities and address any operational challenges.
Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, equipment usage, and labor hours associated with warehouse shifting activities, providing regular reports and updates to senior management.
You will have
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, operations management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management, with a focus on warehouse shifting and operations optimization.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including inventory management, space utilization, and material handling equipment.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience supervising teams and coordinating complex projects in a warehouse environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools used for inventory tracking and warehouse operations.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support warehouse shifting activities across different locations.
